Concert series "Mirroring"
The concert series "Mirroring" of the Sinfonietta Dresden continues the successful row of "Tensions" and develops them conceptually.
The usual dramaturgy of classical concerts is divided, by the relation, into two new works: a classical symphony and a literature part. With that the public circle for new music should clearly be extended. All together there will be six concerts played- always two per year.
In every concert a composition order will be given to a composer from Saxony of the younger generation. That composer should work thematically with the Haydn's symphony played in the concert. This topic is again reflected at a literary or poetic level. The people reading will be popular actors from Dresden.
The six concerts are events of Sinfonietta Dresden inc. within the KlangNetzDresden, promoted by the network New Music of the federal culture endowment. Sinfonietta Dresden offers these concerts also for pupils and youngsters in other towns of Saxony.
